Several years ago Al began teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) as a volunteer at the Primera Iglesia Bautista (First Baptist Church) in Durant, Ok. His interest and involvement in this subject grew to the point that he realized a need for additional training and in March of 2006, Al received his Masters Degree in Adult Education and Distance Learning. During this time he met Dr. Lonnie Smith, a Baptist missionary to Mexico for the past 50 years.

Many of Dr. Smith's mission congregations in Mexico continue to be in need of pianos for their worship services. If you have a serviceable piano that you would like to donate, Texoma Piano Service will pick the instrument up from your home and deliver it to Dr. Smith in McAllen, Texas free of charge. Dr. Smith then disperses them to missions in need of instruments in Mexico.When we accumulate 4 or 5 instruments, we load them in our trailer and make the 585 mile trip to McAllen.We make at least one trip per year and sometimes two.

Dr. Smith can give a generous tax credit to be filed as a charitable contribution on one's federal income tax.

We prefer spinets and consoles but sometimes accept uprights if they are in good shape. (All the notes play and the piano is tunable).
